Battle of Wounded Knee- The battle occurred because of the Sioux's "Ghost Dance" since the United States outlawed and whether the Sioux reservation land would be broken up because of the Dawes Act.
Dawes Severalty Act- Was an act that broke up Indian reservations and gave the land to individual households, the leftover land was sold to fund U.S. government efforts to "civilize" Native Americans.

Homestead Act- Was the an act that allowed settlers to buy 160 acres of land for $30 and settled on the land for five years and had to improve the barren land.

Populists- Represented Westerners and Southerners who believed that the U.S. economic policy favored the European businessman instead of American farmers.
Pullman Strike- Was a strike led by Eugene Debs about wage cuts, the strike was not approved by the American Federation of Labor.

Gold Standard Act- Was an act that guaranteed that paper currency would be redeemed freely in gold, excluding silver.
